The acquisition will add Oracle education services to AcknowledgeDB and boost the application development capabilities of both companies.

Thursday 21st December 2006, the Managing Director of Australian Database Management and Application Development Service Provider, AcknowledgeDB Pty Ltd today announced the acquisition of a controlling interest in IGATech Corporation, an Adelaide based ICT Services Business. The transaction was finalised in Brisbane on 21st of December 2006.
In making the announcement, Julie Irwin, AcknowledgeDB’s Managing Director said “This acquisition will allow the group to create a strong national operating base and strengthen our existing capabilities in Oracle Applications support, Oracle and SQL Server database management and our .Net and Oracle development capabilities. We have acquired significant client relationships in South Australia, Victoria and theNorthern Territory which have previously not been part of AcknowledgeDB’s client base.
The Oracle education capability will assist us to role out our new DBA Cadetship throughout Australia more quickly than we had planned. ”
IGATech staff will continue to work in their existing capacities and Gordon Brimble, who was one of the founders of IGATech, will remain in a key role ensuring the ongoing success of the company.
